The primary material used in FAKRO production is pine, a wood species that has been known for generations as one of the most ecologically sound and healthy building materials.
FAKRO obtains its pine from planned forest management regions – where the volume of newly planted seedlings greatly exceeds the volume of material harvested. We work to actively protect the habitat by:
designing and developing environmentally friendly products
using proven ecological technologies
minimizing generation of waste material and promoting re-use where possible
reducing emissions to avoid contamination
reducing noise generation in our production processes
