Description

Flashings for roof access window FWU

Flashings are important for the accurate installation of roof access window. FAKRO skylight flashings are categorized according to roof material used and application. Typical flashings are made for the most common kinds of roof coverings.

Accurately designed flashing details guarantee a tough and neat fit with the used roofing material. The purpose of flashing kits is to warrant good drainage away from the window and to offer protection. Since there are many roofing types, FAKRO offers a range of flashing options to fit nearly all needs.

All flashings are factory-made using aluminum and permanently protected with a polyester varnish. The typical color is brown RAL 7022, which does not stick out much when used with most roofing types.

ELW flashing lets the roof access window to be used with flat roofing materials like shingles and plain-tile, double-lap roofing, slates, or tar boards. The side elements of the flashing are laid alternately with the roofing material (maximum tile thickness 1/3'').

EHW flashing is intended for high-profiled corrugated materials allows the window to be joined with roofing materials such as tiles or corrugated metal sheets. It has a broader and lengthier lower part allowing a tighter joint with the high-profiled roofing material (the height of the profile 1 1/4'' - 3 1/2'').

PLEASE MAKE SURE APPROPRIATE FLASHING KITS ARE ORDERED BASED ON THE TYPE OF SKYLIGHT/ROOF WINDOW.
