Close to Nature far away from the hustle and bustle of the city

Bungalows with an abundance of natural light inside, which are located in the charming town of Rize in Turkey on the Black Sea coast, make their residents relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. Windows are not only the source of light, because after opening they also let in the sound of birds singing and soothing burble of water in the nearby stream.

Four triangular-shaped bungalows equipped with FAKRO roof windows have been built at the site of DoğadaKal. They are situated near the stream, offer private swimming pools and hot tubs where one can immerse oneself and admire nature.

“Life writes its own stories and the same is with the history of this project. When Mr. Olgun (investor) came to me with a request to create something new in the countryside that would repay a kind of ‘debt’ to the city where we spent our childhood I thought about escape into nature and started dreaming… I based my concept on closeness to nature, which is dominated by greenery. A kind of revival and rediscovery of its charms. I felt like a child, free, happy and full of hope… Who could have expected the facility I was designing would
become an ideal way for spending time during the pandemic? Good place for families as well as individuals. It was really a coincidence and excellent solution to escape from the crowds and the hustle and bustle of the city. Thanks to FAKRO, we now have windows open to the sky, stars, our dreams…” commented by architect Esra Reyhanoğlu.

Bungalows have very large glazing on the front walls, while roof windows allow additional light and ventilation inside.
